Project Coordinators 2013-2014

Sophie Hollingsworth

Screen Shot 2013-08-31 at 10.27.57 AMSophie Hollingsworth, originally from Lincoln, Massachusetts, graduated from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland in June 2013 with an honors degree in International Relations.

Her thesis was an examination of the United Nations’ failure to prevent the 1994 Rwandan genocide. Sophie has worked in East Africa several times; she has volunteered at the Rift Valley Children’s Village in Karatu, Tanzania, taught primary school students in Zanzibar, and has worked with genocide survivors at REACH (Reconciliation Evangelism and Christian Healing) in Kigali, Rwanda.

She has also successfully climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro! At St. Andrews, her interests included playing tennis, running, and taking golf lessons. Sophie is very excited about joining the 2Seeds team!

Monique Galvão

Screen Shot 2013-08-31 at 10.28.06 AMMonique was born in the state of Bahia in Brazil. She is a curious, enthusiastic and positive person who believes in God and in the human being. Monique hopes that her experience, knowledge in project management and her high energy will be contribute well to the Masoko Project.

She’s anxious to arrive in Tanzania and believes that the work in Africa will be a fantastic life experience. Monique graduated in Information Systems, and holds a post-graduate degree in Software Engineering, as well as a PMP Certification in Project Management.

Before joining 2Seeds, she was working as manager of strategy and transformation at Accenture consulting. She requested a temporary absence from her job to act as voluntary in a NGO Project. Family and friends believe that she will be reaching her goals to make the world a better place for living.

Additional Support

Our team will have strong support both on the ground in Tanzania from the 2Seeds Project Development Directors and the 2Seeds Tanzania Board of Directors and remotely in the US from our project mentor, Jimmy Henderson, and the rest of the 2Seeds Network
